VP, Underwriter – Franchise Finance

Location: Remote | Monthly and quarter-end office attendance required in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 base + 20–25% bonus

Our client is a growing specialty finance company focused on providing flexible financing solutions to established franchise operators. They are seeking a VP, Underwriter with deep experience in franchise finance and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) lending to join their team.

• Underwrite new business opportunities for established QSR and franchise operators, generally involving transactions in the $5MM–$25MM range.
• Manage and monitor an existing commercial loan portfolio, including ongoing credit analysis and risk assessment.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, debt service capacity, and borrower performance.
• Structure transactions and make credit recommendations consistent with the company's underwriting standards.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and internal teams throughout the underwriting and closing process.
• Maintain a strong understanding of franchise business models, unit economics, and acquisition financing.

• Required:
  
  Significant QSR/franchise finance underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting new business as well as managing an existing portfolio.
• Strong commercial credit background; bank credit training is highly valued.
• Experience with franchise acquisitions and multi-unit operators.
• Strong financial statement analysis and credit structuring skills.
• Ability to evaluate transactions efficiently while maintaining disciplined credit standards.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial lending environment.
