Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
Blueair, part of Unilever, is a fast-growing global brand built around one simple belief: clean air is essential to your well-being, wherever you live and whatever your health needs. For more than 30 years we've brought together creative thinkers, health enthusiasts, and innovators who genuinely care about the products we make. We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team.
Aboutthe Role
In this role, you'll be a hands-on finance partner for our commercial teams in both North America and EMEA. You'll work closely with our FP&A Manager and Global FP&A Lead, supporting DTC, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional partners on both sides of the Atlantic.
This is a fast-paced, startup-style environment where you'll learn a lot quickly. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, gets curious, and is excited to grow with us.
We believe we're better together. Our team is hybrid, so you'll need to live within commuting distance of our Chicago Loop office and be in the office Tuesday through Thursday.
Because you'll be partnering with colleagues in North America and EMEA, some flexibility in working hours is part of the job. It's a great chance to work with passionate teammates around the world, gain diverse perspectives, and help build a brand that resonates across cultures.
What You'll Do Forecasting & Reporting (NA & EMEA)- Own the EMEA weekly flash, a full P&L view that tracks revenue and performance trends week to week.
- Help compile the NA and EMEA monthly forecasts, with the goal of eventually owning the EMEA roll-up.
- Support the EMEA S&OP process, building toward running it with minimal supervision.
- Dig into actuals vs. plan and forecast, explaining what's driving the variance (volume, price, mix, timing) with clear, concise commentary.
- Help prepare reporting packages for leadership that tell the story behind the numbers.
- Partner with the FP&A Manager to support DTC, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams across North America and EMEA through every planning cycle.
- Analyze DTC performance, including e-commerce and subscription programs, and flag opportunities to grow revenue and improve margin.
- Help build ROI frameworks for marketing campaigns and trade and consumer promotions, and track how efficiently that spend is working.
- Model deal economics and promotional lift scenarios for the Sales team, and track net revenue impact against plan.
- Translate commercial plans into financial plans and help stakeholders understand the trade-offs behind their decisions.
- Support business case modeling for new product innovation in both regions.
- Help build and improve driver-based models covering revenue forecasting, margin bridges, promotional ROI, and scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Dig into margin and cost component drivers to understand what's really moving profitability.
- Keep an eye on SKU and category trends, and raise risks and opportunities with data-backed recommendations.
- Jump into ad hoc strategic analyses when leadership needs them.
- Spot inefficiencies in our FP&A processes and reporting, and help build scalable, repeatable fixes.
- Look for ways to automate manual work, including through AI and other tools, and contribute to planning tool and data improvements.
- Help set and maintain data governance standards so our reporting is accurate, consistent, and audit-ready.
- Document processes for planning cycles and reporting routines so the team can cover for each other.
- Work with IT, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to improve the data feeding our FP&A models.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, Accounting, or Consulting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with a full P&L forecast model
- Solid experience doing in-depth variance analysis: knowing where to find the data, how to set it up, and how to explain why the numbers are different
- Experience partnering with cross-functional, non-finance teams
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, and comfort working with large datasets from multiple sources
- Ability to explain financial insights clearly to people outside of finance
- Strong attention to detail and a naturally curious mindset
- Flexibility to work across time zones with teams in North America and EMEA
- Experience in CPG, DTC, e-commerce, or a related industry
- A good grasp of margin and cost…
