Metra Officers perform proactive policing, enforce laws and ordinances, and maintain order in public gatherings on Metra property. They conduct preliminary criminal and fatality investigations, patrol rail yards and stations, and may drive police vehicles, ride trains or bicycles, or walk as part of their duties.
