Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Chicago, IL 60611. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay rate: $18/hr

Location: Chicago, IL 60611

Duration: 3-month, Possible Extension

Shift: 1pm-9:30pm 2nd Shift Central

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen sorting, data entry, labeling, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting
• Accurately process and deliver specimens to the lab in a timely manner
• Enter data at a rate of 6,000 keystrokes/hour in a high-volume production setting
• Maintain compliance with test-ordering regulations and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with lab staff and maintain clean, organized workspace
• Adapt to workflow changes and prioritize tasks to meet departmental deadlines

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills required; lab or medical background preferred
• Comfortable working in a biohazard environment
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and flexibility
