Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Phlebotomist who is fluent in both Spanish and English to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience performing blood draws on pediatric patients and individuals with chronic illnesses. This role is essential in ensuring accurate specimen collection, promoting patient comfort, and supporting clear communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric patients and individuals with chronic health conditions.
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of all specimens in compliance with established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish- and English-speaking patients and families, providing clear instructions and reassurance throughout the collection process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient interactions, and specimen handling.
- Follow strict infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of specimens.
- Assist with clerical and administrative tasks related to laboratory operations, as needed.
- Current Phlebotomy certification from a recognized accrediting body.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience, with demonstrated skill in pediatric blood draws and working with patients who have chronic illnesses.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, specimen handling, and laboratory safety procedures.
- CPR certification preferred.

Hours: Monday-Friday;
Onsite 5 Days a Week;
Normal Business Hours
Pay Range: $40,000-$50,000 Annual Salary ($19.23/hr-$24/hr)
Employment: ~6 month (1,040 Hours) contracted probationary period into direct hire / permanent position
