Ophthalmic Technician - Chicago

Overview

Ophthalmic Technician role at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Location:

Chicago, IL (Streeterville).

• High School diploma required;
  Associate’s degree preferred.
• Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by JCAHPO is required.
• Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician by JCAHPO is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Prior pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff, patients, and families.
• Knowledge of growth and development of infants, children, adolescents, adults and elderly patients to provide appropriate care.

High School Diploma/GED (Required).

• Maintain clinical competencies in ophthalmic care and assist with patient evaluations and procedures as directed by the ophthalmology team.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to support compassionate care.

• Pay Range: $22.25-$36.38 hourly.
