Arizona Eye Consultants was founded in 2001 by Dr. Sean McCafferty. We are a multi-specialty ophthalmology/optometry practice with eighteen providers. Our specialties include glaucoma, cataract, and pediatrics, including specialty contact lenses. We have over 100 employees across five Tucson locations. Travel among all locations is required. Essential Job Functions Communication and Patient Care
  • Introduce new patients to office procedures.
  • Explain the purpose of tests and how patients will be affected.
  • Obtain patient history, including chief complaint, medical and ocular history, family history, allergies, and medications.
  • Perform documentation and measurement tasks such as:
    • Visual acuity
    • Manual lensometry
    • Confrontational visual fields
    • Stereo testing
    • Evaluation of motility
    • Pupillary function tests
    • Color plates
    • Applanation tonometry
    • Refractometry
    • Angle assessment
    • Dilation of pupils
    • Contact lens evaluations
    • Visual field testing
    • Optic nerve scanning (OCT, HRT, GDx)
    • Pachymetry
    • Corneal topography
    • Other tests as required by the physician
    Skills & Abilities

    Education:

    High school diploma required; some college preferred. Experience in a professional, customer-focused environment is a plus.
