Job Description

The primary function of this role is to provide medical procedure coverage and in‑servicing in a multi‑state geography as a Area Sales Representative
. You’ll report to the Area Sales Director for the Great Lakes sales region.

Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical and technical support to all kinds of clinicians and staff during procedures related to our flagship product, SIR‑Spheres microspheres.
  • Managing and exceeding or meeting the set business targets within your territory; assisting the Regional Sales Managers on the Great Lakes Sales Team in achieving their business objectives.
  • Developing relationships in all areas of the hospital that are key to Sirtex.
  • Delivering sales presentations and performing on‑site product demonstrations to physicians and other health‑care professionals.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of account plans for key accounts and partners to create strategic relationships that increase sales within the assigned territory.
  • Developing an understanding of the market unique to your territory.
  • Continuously educating yourself on the latest information related to disease states and the ever‑changing business environment, including relevant clinical articles that impact Sirtex.
  • Always working within, and ensuring adherence to, Quality System procedures, work instructions, and other Quality System requirements; and similarly for Health, Safety and Environment Management System procedures.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in medical procedure coverage (e.g., Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Office‑based).
  • Previous work experience in medical device, B2B, or hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of health‑care professionals, articulating a clinical sales message.
  • Proven track record of sales success, including recognition awards and/or increased responsibility.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers within the assigned territory.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills are critical.
  • Self‑motivated with excellent organization, time management, and presentation skills; strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Compensation

The target base salary range for this position is $90,000 annually
. Individual compensation will be based on non‑discriminatory factors, including location, skills, experience, education and other factors related to the position requirements. Variable bonus is available up to $30,000 for this position. Eligible benefit plans include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401(k) matching program.
