Salary: The budgeted salary range for the position is $133,000 - $155,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

Summary/DescriptionThe UIC College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a full‑time, motivated professional for the position of Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist who will be assigned to the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System's Pediatric service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in the area of pediatrics at the University of Illinois Hospital.
The pediatric unit consists of 16 beds, with 3-4 beds designated as intensive care beds. The team provides care to pediatric patients typically ranging in age from newborn to 19 years. Patients may be admitted to the general pediatric service, hematology/oncology service, or family medicine service. The hospital is a 450‑bed academic institution located approximately 2 miles west of downtown Chicago.

Duties- Participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
- Performing medication profile review and identifying drug‑related problems.
- Providing evidence‑based medication and dosing recommendations.
- Conducting therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Delivering drug information and patient/caregiver education.
- Responding to cardiac resuscitation and rapid response events.
- Supporting nursing, physician, and pharmacy staff education.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and protocol development.
- Occasional cross‑coverage of the neonatal intensive care unit and outpatient pediatric hematology/oncology services.
- The academic responsibilities of the clinical faculty member (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) include the provision of didactic lectures and precepting entry‑level Doctor of Pharmacy students, PGY1 residents and PGY2 residents. Scholarly activities, including presentations and publications, are also expected.
