Position SummaryThe Division of Pediatric Nephrology at UICOMP offers multiple faculty positions to teach and train medical students, residents, and fellows in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology. Candidates will assist in patient care, contribute to research, and support faculty development.
Clinical duties include inpatient and outpatient pediatric nephrology services, including dialysis and plasma exchange, and administration of patient care. The division collaborates with transplant surgeons and urologists to provide kidney transplant care, with an inpatient call rotation of 1:3. Additional provider recruitment is expected as the division grows.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic and treatment services for pediatric renal, urinary tract, bladder, and hypertension conditions; coordinate multidisciplinary care and enhance service quality.
- Develop and conduct educational programs for medical students and residents in pediatric nephrology.
- Maintain scholarly activity and contribute to the Nephrology Service’s research and academic mission.
- Perform administrative duties and University service as assigned.
- Travel may be required between healthcare facilities.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects.
- MD or foreign equivalent.
- Eligibility for Illinois medical license.
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology.
