At The Self-Care Spa & Lounge, we are not your ordinary spa — we normalize self-care through service and education. Our mission is to create a space where clients can unwind, renew, and learn techniques to reduce burnout and prioritize their overall well-being.

We are seeking an experienced Massage Therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. This role is ideal for someone with an established practice or existing clientele who is passionate about holistic health, client care, and providing exceptional service. You will have the freedom of a flexible schedule while working in a luxurious and supportive environment.

• Provide high-quality therapeutic and relaxation massage services (Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, etc.) based on client needs and preferences.
• Consult with clients to assess areas of concern and recommend customized treatment plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment room in compliance with spa protocols.
• Educate clients on self-care practices, stretching techniques, and wellness tips to extend treatment benefits.
• Uphold the spa’s mission of creating a community-centered, restorative space.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate scheduling needs, availability, and client concerns with management promptly.

• Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in [State].
• Current liability insurance (must be maintained throughout contract period).
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with some existing clientele preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and deliver an exceptional client experience.

Compensation:
Commission-based or flat rate per service (negotiated in contractor agreement).

Schedule:

Flexible — contractors set their availability in collaboration with spa management.

Supplies:
Spa provides a treatment room, table, linens, and basic products. The contractor may bring preferred tools/supplies if desired.

Status:
This is a 1099 contractor role. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and continuing education requirements.

By signing the contractor agreement, the Massage Therapist agrees to:

• Not solicit or accept clients from The Self-Care Spa & Lounge for services outside of the spa for a period of 12 months following termination of this agreement.
• Not operate or work in a competing spa or wellness business within a [10–15 mile radius] of the spa location for a period of 6 months after termination (unless written).
