• Prepares exam room for daily clinical activities.
• Monitors and maintains appropriate levels of medical equipment, supplies, and floor stock medication.
• Tests patient’s visual acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception.
• Examines eye for abnormalities.
• Applies drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes.
• Measures axial length of eye using biometry.
• Performs other related tests and measurements.
• Responds to patient inquiries and relays information to the appropriate clinician.
• Documents patients’ histories and instructs patients concerning eye care.

• Six (6) months of work experience performing basic ophthalmology or optometry.
• Current/valid American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
