Salary range: $30.44 – $42.61 hourly.

The Pharmacy Analytics Coordinator reflects the mission, vision and values of NM and adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program. Under the direction of the Manager, the Pharmacy Analytics Coordinator acts in a lead role on behalf of the Pharmacy Inventory Billing department, has authority and accountability for delivering quality service for the department’s inventory and purchasing functions, coordinates staff, maintains adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals, maintains the computerized drug master files, maintains controlled drug stock and associated record keeping, and reports all discrepancies to Managers and Directors.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, maintain and coordinate the use of pharmacy inventory management and dispensing automation
- Contribute to the establishment of safe and effective medication use processes
- Support installation, ongoing maintenance and upgrades of pharmacy automation technologies
- Serve as a resource expert related to pharmacy automation for the pharmacy department and inter‑disciplinary groups
- Troubleshoot automation issues and coordinate with vendor to reach resolution
- Maintain automation product databases and optimize inventory processed and dispensed through pharmacy automation including controlled substances
- Reconcile non‑profiled dispenses and capture charges
- Maintain automation user information and create access for users pending pharmacist approval
- Serve as the NMH/NMG pharmacy liaison between vendor and maintain a positive relationship
- Investigate interoperability between electronic health record and pharmacy automation
- Support pharmacy department shortage mitigation efforts by providing data related to inventory levels on hand
- Coordinate the implementation of new medication products into pharmacy automation
- Research and propose new pharmacy automation and dispensing technologies for expansion considerations
- Train and support end users of the pharmacy automation technologies
- Perform controlled substance dispensing audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Review controlled substance related discrepancies in pharmacy automation and work with the Controlled Substance Management team for investigation, reporting and resolution
- Develop standard operating procedures regarding the use of pharmacy automation for medication dispensing
- Participate in pharmacy department scheduled inventory
- Coordinate the communication and removal of recalled medication from operations
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of People Soft Procurement
- Review contracts and pricing agreements
- Maintain inventory of medications and other designated supplies for use in the department and throughout the hospital
- Identify and communicate key issues and trends to manager
- Function as the “superuser” of the inventory computer system, ensuring correct products are selected, inventory levels are correct and prices are accurate, and identify system problems and work with the systems programmer to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with all customers and suppliers
- Ensure that service standards are maintained and evaluated
- Participate in planning and maintenance of the pharmacy information systems
- Provide on‑call coverage, as needed
- Actively participate in drug shortage committee
- Provide information to manager on budget issues, especially staffing and cost containment strategies
