Overview

We are looking for a new on-call team member to join us working as a Crisis Services Counselor on our Mobile Crisis Response team. Crisis services staff work as a team to deliver quality care, and a quick response to residents in need out in the community.

This On-Call position includes working at least 3 shifts per month and as needed with weekend and evening availability. We offer an hourly rate or a stipend.

  • Provides emergency and crisis intervention services to individuals and families, both face to face, and via telephone/video.
  • Conducts crisis evaluations in the community (home, hospitals) for children, adolescents, and adults to assess risk and determine recommendations for client care. Referral sources include CARES/SASS, law enforcement, hospital settings, and families/individuals.
  • Provides and follows-up on referral and community resource linkage.
  • May conduct crisis evaluations on-site.
  • May complete client care tasks associated with the 12-bed Crisis Residential unit on-site.
  • Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification.
  • Consults with staff concerning client and program issues and provides other case management services.
  • Works collaboratively with community providers
  • Completion of required documentation within established time frames
  • Use of an Electronic Client Record, and additional call management software
  • Demonstrates independent judgment.
  • Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.

Candidates for consideration require either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and two years of experience working with chronically mentally ill population; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Attendance at our paid HR new hire orientation from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm is required. This role requires you to have a valid driver’s license along with your own personal vehicle that is reliable to drive while working in this role.
