The mission of the Harry s Truman College Wellness Center is to provide mental health and psycho-social support services to students, faculty, and staff to further the individual’s and community’s holistic well-being and academic success. We are currently in search of a
full-time Assistant Clinical Director
in the Wellness Center.
Reporting to the Clinical Director-Wellness Center, the Assistant Clinical Director-Wellness Center provides clinical supervision to graduate trainees and assists the Clinical Director with day-to-day Wellness Center operations, including caseload management, data collection and assessment, outreach, marketing, and mental health consultation with administrators and faculty. The Assistant Clinical Director enforces and implements institutional, legal, and departmental policies concerning the Wellness Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assists the Clinical Director with general oversight of Wellness Center operations including coordination of staff schedules, record keeping, outreach events, and case assignments.
- Provides direct clinical service, including case management, counseling, and crisis intervention. Triages walk-ins.
- Recruits, trains and supervises graduate trainees in psychology and social work.
- Assists with development, implementation, and evaluation of all Wellness Center policies.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relations with local graduate programs in social work and clinical psychology for the placement, training, and evaluation of trainees.
- Maintains usage data and creates reports.
- Develops and implements outreach programming.
- Creates and maintains a professional, welcoming atmosphere for the individuals accessing the center for services and information.
- Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology or a related field supplemented by a minimum of two years’ experience in program administration.
- Must be currently licensed by the State of Illinois as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or a Clinical Psychologist
- Experience in training of graduate-level trainees preferred.
- Must be self-directed, innovative and able to assess current operations in an effort to develop practical action programs to improve the services provided by the department.
- Flexibility on work schedule. Work assignments may shift to account for organizational changes and Clinical Directorial coverage.
- Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, and prepare and generate reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to handle all situations with solid clinical judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
The starting salary for this position is $80,717 - $90,000. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity. Benefits information is found at
