The primary purpose of the position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed or instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities Administrative FunctionsMust be able to stand for a period of time. Job may require stooping, bending and lifting, walking throughout the facility.
Working ConditionsWorks in a well lighted and ventilated kitchen. May be exposed to temperature extremes. May be asked to lift up to 30 pounds. Potential hazards are burns, cuts, falls if safety measures are not adhered to.
EducationMust possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
ExperienceSits, stands, stoops, bends, lifts and walks intermittently during the workday. Lifts at least 25 pounds. Must be able to follow orders and properly perform assigned tasks. Experience in food service preferred, but not essential. Stable work history. Must work well with other dietary employees. Must be in good physical and mental condition.
