Description:
TheUIC Retzky College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a full-time, motivated professional for the position of Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist, Coordinator, Hospital Pharmacy Services who will be assigned to UI Health’s Central Pharmacy.
Theideal candidate will work within the Hospital Pharmacy Operations and team and will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients at the University of Illinois Hospital. The hospital is a 450-bed academic institution located approximately 2 miles west of downtown Chicago. The hospital serves anurban, indigent patient population.

Duties:
- Oversee compliance with USP , USP , state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Provide leadership and day-to-day support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in sterile compounding areas.
- Monitor and maintain cleanroom environmental controls, including temperature, humidity, pressure differentials, certification schedules, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Develop, review, and maintain cleanroom policies, procedures, workflows, and documentation.
- Lead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives related to sterile compounding, cleanroom practices, and medication safety.
- Investigate cleanroom deviations, contamination events, sterility concerns, and medication-related incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Ensure proper inventory management of cleanroom supplies, hazardous drug products, sterile compounding materials, and equipment.
