Medical Lab Technician (MLT) / Medical Technologist (MT) – Travel Contract

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Department: Clinical Laboratory – Chemistry
Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Contract Dates: October 26, 2026 – January 23, 2027
Job Type: Travel Contract – Allied Health

We are seeking a qualified Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for a 13-week travel assignment in the Clinical Laboratory.

This is a Generalist position requiring strong laboratory experience, phlebotomy skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is confident working alone and comfortable taking on both laboratory and phlebotomy responsibilities.

• Shift: Night Shift

• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

• Expected Hours: 36 hours/week

• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend

• Holidays: Rotating holidays

• On-Call: Yes

• Floating: No

• Contract: Travel only

• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

• Local Candidates: Must reside outside the 50-mile radius

Requirements

• MT or MLT certification

• ASCP certification required

• Generalist laboratory experience

• Phlebotomy experience/skills required

• Must be comfortable performing phlebotomy duties

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong communication, organization, and clinical laboratory skills

• Candidates should be confident working alone during assigned shifts
