Please log into Workday  to apply internally through the "Jobs Hub"Job Description Shriners Children’s Chicago is looking for a full-time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.

Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.

Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.

Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.

Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct patient, correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views).Practices appropriate radiation safety as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations. Practices A.L.A.R.A at all times.

Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact(s).

Required:

Associates Degree Radiologic Technology American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice

Preferred:

One year pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience CT/MRI certerfication

The pay range for this position is $33.47 - $50.22.Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
