Hartgrove Hospital and Garfield Park Hospital are in Chicago, IL, and Riveredge Hospital is in Forest Park, IL.

This per diem, nonexempt position will provide PTO and as needed coverage as a float pharmacy technician between three hospitals, Hartgrove Hospital, Garfield Park Hospital, and Riveredge Hospital, up to 40 hours/week, preferably weekends. However, there are no regularly scheduled hours for this position.

• Hartgrove Hospital
  - Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm, weekends 7:00am - 3pm and utilizes Cerner and Omnicell
• Garfield Park Hospital
  - Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:00pm, weekends 7:00am-3pm and utilizes HCS and Omnicell
• Riveredge Hospital
  - Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-6:00pm, weekends 8:00am-3pm and utilizes HCS and Omnicell

• Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
• Deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units
• Maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates
• Support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery
• Comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
• PTCB/CPhT or ability to obtain within 90 days
• A current, valid Illinois' driver's license

• Experience in a behavioral health hospital pharmacy
• Automated dispensing machine experience

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
