As the Housekeeping Manager, you’ll be the leader of the Housekeeping Team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout the hotel. You’ll be the driving force behind all aspects of housekeeping operations, ultimately contributing to a positive and welcoming environment for our guests and team.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Oversee the training and supervision of the housekeeping team, ensuring efficient and effective work performance.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and motivated work environment.
    • Ensure work schedules provide adequate staffing levels while controlling labor costs.
    • Provide feedback and coach supervisors and team members to improve performance. Direct disciplinary actions when necessary.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
    • Participate in Department Head Meetings providing departmental updates.
    • Communicate effectively addressing issues and promoting teamwork.
    • Manage day to day housekeeping operations following Club Quarters standards.
    • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
    • Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements.
    • Maintain accurate records of schedules, attendance, inventory and expenses.
    • Stay up to date of industry best practices and new cleaning methods.
    • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Cleaning Standards and Quality Control:
    • Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas.
    • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to established standards and identify areas for improvement.
    • Implement cleaning procedures and checklists.
    • Address guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
    • Identify and report maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas to the appropriate department for correction.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and hotel policies.
    • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Inventory and Supply Management:
    • Manage and control inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, guest amenities and equipment.
    • Implement efficient controls to minimize waste and ensure adequate supply levels.
    • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing while maintaining quality.
    • Monitor and track supply usage and costs.
  • Budget Management:
    • Assist in development of the housekeeping department budget.
    • Manage and control the maintenance department expenses, including labor and supplies.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager.
Qualifications
  • Experience, Skills and

    Certifications:

    • Minimum three years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity in a housekeeping department of a hotel or similar.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
    • Ability to train, coach and mentor employees.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic hands-on environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in various positions, including and not limited to standing, bending, walking and lifting.
  • Ability to lift or carry items.
Salary Range$75,000 - $81,000
