As the Lead Ice Rink Attendant at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the Ice Rink operations to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and luxurious skating experience for guests. This role requires a high-level of guest interactions, maintaining ice quality, and fostering a welcoming and festive atmosphere. You will serve as the primary point of contact for both staff and guests during your shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional guest service, greeting guests warmly, and maintaining the resort’s luxury standards.
  • Ensure all team members uphold the highest standards of guest service and safety.
  • Greet guests warmly, provide information about skating sessions, and create an upscale guest experience.
  • Oversee skate rentals, fittings, and proper use of ice rink equipment, assisting guests as needed.
  • Offer exceptional hospitality, anticipating guest needs and personalizing their experience.
  • Monitor the rink to ensure safety, enforce rules, and provide assistance to skaters as needed.
  • Assist in planning and executing special skating events, themed nights, and private bookings.
  • Keep the rink area, rental booth, and surrounding spaces clean, organized, and aesthetically appealing.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Inspect the ice surface regularly and report any necessary maintenance or hazards.
  • Support overall team success by performing related duties and promoting a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and the business.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Prior experience in a guest service, recreation, or hospitality role preferred.
  • Basic ice-skating proficiency and ability to assist guests on the ice.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy or emergency situations.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
