Salary: $65,000 to $70,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Commission

As Director of Catering, you will lead our catering team within the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, a renowned contemporary art museum near the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago, established in 1967 and one of the world’s largest contemporary art venues.

• Conduct site visits and close business for the museum.
• Represent the museum’s special events department at networking and industry-related gatherings.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with our client and building staff.
• Produce monthly forecast of performance to budget and plan.
• Develop and achieve the annual Catering Revenue Budget.
• Submit monthly reports.
• Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are enforced fairly and consistently.

• Five years or more of experience with a proven record of accomplishment in a similar facility.
• College degree.
• Willingness to work flexible hours (e.g., weekends, evenings).
• Highly organized.
• Strong communication skills; fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Excellent supervisory skills.
