Position: GENERAL MANAGER - DINING OPERATIONS - ELMHURST UNIVERSITY
General Manager – Dining Operations – Compass Group USA

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year. Bonus potential and full benefits.

Job Summary

Compass Group is adding a General Manager – Dining Operations. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, strong team leadership, client relations, and the ability to ensure superior food quality and strong customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account

• Manage overall day-to-day operations of the account

• Conduct HR functions including hiring, progressive counseling, terminations

• Oversee scheduling, payroll and team training

• Maintain excellent relationships with customers, guests, and clients as well as other departments

• Work with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality food

• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• BS, Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred

• Five years of food service operations leadership experience

• High volume production and catering experience is essential

• Previous experience managing a budget
