Job Summary
This position will support the Chicago, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa area. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Chicago area.
The People Works (HR) Business Partner is a strategic partner to regional leaders by embedding HR strategy into daily operations and providing professional HR guidance. This role helps identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, streamline department structures, and drive key performance behaviors. Responsibilities include managing human capital programs, training, development, and workforce planning to align with brand and company direction.
Your Key Job Functions
- Develops and implements long-term HR initiatives aligned with strategic goals and identifies new opportunities for HR to add value.
- Manages performance management and succession planning processes, including talent review meetings across IL, MN, WI, and IA.
- Collaborates with business leaders to provide development opportunities that support current and future performance standards.
- Works with regional recruiters to align staffing with operational needs.
- Supports change management initiatives and helps teams adapt to evolving priorities.
- Facilitates workshops to enhance team member engagement, retention, and recognition, supporting business goals.
What You Bring To The Team
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Chicago area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in multi-unit or field-based roles within restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
- Proactive, data-driven, solutions-oriented, with strong business acumen.
- Willingness to travel regionally (up to 30-50%).
- Experience supporting hourly workforce and high-growth operations.
