The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll data and providing customer service related to payroll questions.
Duties and Responsibilities- Process bi-weekly transfer of payroll to ADP Work Force Now.
- Compile and input payroll data including taxes, bonuses, deductions, and time and attendance system (Work Force).
- Set up, calculate and maintain employee wage garnishments.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Audit HR interface for accuracy with payroll records.
- Review data entry performed by self and peers.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
- File payroll records into HR database.
- Run bi-weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Assist with year-end processes and reporting needs.
- Assist in handling payroll inquiries.
- Keep up-to-date with changing legislation relating to all aspects of payroll.
- Safeguard departmental information from unauthorized users.
- Other initiatives and duties as assigned.
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range$65,000 - $80,000 if located in Illinois

Education and/or ExperienceRequired:
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
Preferred:
- Experience with ADP based applications such as Work Force Now.
- Experience with Report Writer and Rapid Runner Reports.
- Experience with People Soft.
- Experience with Work Force (Time & Attendance Systems).
- Experience at a law firm or other professional services environment.
