Chicago Jesuit Academy provides an annual pay range of $60,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr for this Personnel Manager position.
Personnel ManagerThe Person nel Manager reports to the Director of Talent and is responsible for building, reviewing, and upholding institutional policies and practices, supporting employees throughout their employment lifecycle, and maintaining organizational integrity.
Essential Functions- Manage ongoing and annual projects including, but not limited to, the benefits renewal process, performance review processes, Letter of Intent and employee contracts.
- Work with the Director of Talent in managing the onboarding process and first‑year retention, overseeing completion of employee compliance mandates and organizing employee orientation.
- Support the Director of Talent in hiring by reviewing and posting job descriptions, assessing resumes and cover letters, and conducting initial screenings.
- Develop, review, and implement institutional employee expectations, benefit, and retention policies with the support of the Executive Team and host quarterly open forums to address employee questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with the Business Office to manage payroll, benefits, and additional employee compensation items.
- Manage additional CJA benefits such as the Student Loan Repayment Program, Continuing Education Assistance Program, retirement benefits, and FMLA.
- Proactively maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Maintain accurate and confidential human resource records and employee files.
- Perform other duties and manage projects as assigned.
- HR certification or degree preferred.
- 2+ years of work experience in Human Resources or a related area within the education or non‑profit sector.
- Experience with ADP or a similar HR system preferred.
