Sr. Analyst, Benefits
Chicago - Onsite 5 days per week
Position SummaryAs a member of the Benefits team, the Senior Analyst, Benefits will primarily be responsible for taking the lead on various projects, testing and analytics for the Benefits team.
Responsibilities- Support strategic initiatives and administrative processes related to US benefits across our team's business segments
- Primary lead for various Benefits projects; predominantly related to leave of absence but inclusive of all Benefits areas
- Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise of our US benefits plans and vendors inclusive of all health and welfare, leave of absence and retirement plans
- Works closely with Executives, Managers and HR to provide proactive project status updates to all involved parties
- Drafts communications that clearly state the leave administration and absence management policies and procedures
- Acts as the subject matter expert on all aspects of leave, including but not limited to STD, LTD ADA, FMLA, Paid Parental Leave, Military, Jury Duty, Medical, etc.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State and local leave laws
- Ensures 3rd party vendors apply appropriate standards per company, legal, federal, and state requirements to resolve routine and complex cases and issues; predominantly related to leave of absence
- Collaborates with 3rd party vendors to ensure policy and plan changes are implemented, required documentation is updated and necessary amendments/plan docs are updated
- Leads overall management reporting for leave management leveraging multiple systems to prepare metrics and measurement reports for team and leadership
- In close collaboration with the HRIS team, leads testing, analytics and system audits related to Workday functionality and various Benefits initiatives
- Working with the HRIS team, leads requirements updates and testing for various Benefits integration files
- Gathers and interprets data to deliver actionable insights while considering a broad range of interdependent issues.
- Develops training materials and other communications to promote consistent and accurate application of benefit plans
- Researches and evaluates complex employee benefit issues; develops effective solutions and options and communicates directly to employees advising options
- Assists the team in developing new and revised processes, procedures, and form templates, as needed
- Acts as a change agent to drive process improvements as business needs evolve
- Performs other duties as assigned
- 5 years of experience working with HR systems for Benefits/Leave of Absence administration (Workday or equivalent)
- Subject matter expertise in various leave categories
