Position Summary The Junior Recruiter provides recruiting and administrative support to the Human Resources department and assists with daily HR operations. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to start a career in HR, develop foundational skills in employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration, and grow within the field.
Core ResponsibilitiesRecruitment
- Support the recruiting process from job description creation and posting to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews via the ATS (e.g., Paycor).
- Support candidate assessments (e.g., PI assessments) and coordinate interview logistics with hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
- Help organize and attend career fairs and intern programs.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
- Support onboarding processes: create offer letters, prepare orientation materials, collect required documentation, assist with training schedules, and prepare new hire snapshots and welcome bags.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures via the HR Service Center.
- Organize and communicate HR-related meetings, training sessions, and events.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Assist with the offboarding process (exit interviews, offboarding forms, deactivating in HRIS).
- Generate reports and compile HR data as requested.
- Input invoices into Concur for approval.
- Coordinate and publish employee spotlights to highlight team members.
- Maintain and update HR-related documents on the company intranet.
- Assist in organizing and delivering HR Microlearning Modules and promote monthly learning themes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or office administration (internships or related experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with employees and management.
- Problem-solving abilities to address basic HR issues.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new HR systems and processes.
- Basic understanding of HR best practices and employment laws (training provided).
