• Collaborate with Trading, IT Infrastructure, and Development teams to configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
• Provide day‑to‑day support of network and application environments, including port configuration and cabling.
• Offer evening, weekend, and on‑call support and travel to data centers as required.
• Work closely with infrastructure engineers to evaluate current and new technology and improve all aspects of our infrastructure.
• Analyze business requirements and design, implement, and manage an effective (WAN/LAN) network that supports our domestic and global trading platform.
• Partner with network providers to ensure that the trading infrastructure remains stable, competitive, and cost‑effective.
• Document and focus on automation of all day‑to‑day operations.

• 1–2 years of network engineering experience in a professional environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of TCP / IP and the OSI stack.
• Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and experience with Juniper, Arista, or Cisco.
• Experience with switching, firewalls, STP, VLANs, VPNs, trunks, ACLs, multicast routing (IGMP, PIM).
• Familiarity with multiple vendors and performing network traffic analysis using tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix and scripting experience (Python).
• Desire to obtain CCNA or CCNP.

In accordance with the Illinois Equal Pay Act, the minimum base salary starts at $90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and skill set. This role also eligible for a discretionary performance bonus as part of the total compensation package and other benefits as listed here:
