The Digital Banking Product Specialist reports to the VP, Digital Banking Manager and will eventually report to the Digital Banking Supervisor. The role works closely with external vendors, core systems, operations, marketing, and internal subject matter experts to execute digital platform product strategy, measure performance, and report on digital adoption.
Duties and Responsibilities- Second‑line support for online/mobile banking and digital account opening platforms; administer digital platforms and resolve ticket/error issues.
- Act as product specialist for onboarding platform; manage vendor relationships (FIS, Q2, MANTL, Alloy, Send Grid, First Data, Clover Security) and become an expert on product capabilities.
- Create and track product/service issues, escalates as appropriate, and manages through resolution.
- Partner with operations, marketing, and compliance to create, test and implement new products and incentive programs; develop and maintain project plans for new initiatives.
- Engage with BSA, Fraud, Retail Administration, and Retail teams to develop onboarding review processes and provide procedural oversight.
- Collaborate with Digital Banking Strategy and key vendors to develop and maintain product roadmaps, prioritizing high‑impact work; provide recommendations for platform optimization and improvement implementation.
- Act as the voice of the user—understand needs, identify problems and market opportunities, ideate solutions, prototype, and validate hypotheses.
- Define, track, and report key performance metrics on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases; identify automation opportunities and partner with Enterprise Applications and Analytics to create synergies with reporting platforms.
- Engage vendors to establish benchmarking metrics and analyze performance against peers.
- Evangelize products to stakeholders and clients; create documentation to support platform and product; partner with learning & development for organizational education.
- Be an agent of change—explore new approaches, methodologies, and technologies in a constantly evolving industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in banking operations, online/mobile banking administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of product management experience and/or digital banking functions in banking/financial services.
- Experience creating product documentation and internal knowledge base articles; creating internal training videos and guides.
- Prior experience with seamless end‑to‑end digital onboarding, including KYC/KYB and IDV.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- Data‑driven decision making with experience validating hypotheses, establishing KPIs and OKRs, forecasting, monitoring performance, and leveraging data for continuous improvement.
