Position Summary

Through housing, job training, and family support, we partner with young moms to create strong foundations for their children. Our Program Data Manager plays a vital role in making this happen—ensuring that our program data systems are accurate, accessible, and meaningful so our team can learn, improve, and make an even bigger difference.

Location:

Chicago’s Austin neighborhood (Hybrid Schedule Available)

Schedule:

Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Starting Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

What a Day Might Look Like
  • Kick off your morning by checking if our Goal App (Click Up) has pending Administrative Tasks
  • Run a report in our Bonterra case management software for the Development Team
  • Meet with new staff to see how they are grasping the use of our data systems after having completed some self-paced training, and provide focused support
  • Batch upload data from our case management software to an external government data system
  • Answer Slack messages on our data channel and troubleshoot any data issues with staff
  • Complete data quality review from program teams before running monthly outcome reports
  • Meet with your supervisor to discuss the implementation of some new reports
  • Wrap up by posting a Data Tip of the Week for staff
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the case management system’s functionality, architecture, and integrations
  • Conduct regular data audits, troubleshoot quality issues, and customize workflows and forms
  • Manage and update program dashboards, impact reports, and data for funders
  • Provide training, coaching, and easy-to-follow documentation for staff
  • Support monthly data review meetings with program teams
  • Recommend and implement improvements to data collection methods and tools
  • Ensure timely, accurate submission of all programmatic reports
  • Collaborate across departments to translate data needs into technical solutions

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing data systems in a professional setting
  • Proven ability to customize and administer case management systems
  • Strong skills in Excel (data formatting, analysis, and visualization)
  • Experience in translating organizational data needs into practical technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts in plain language
  • Familiarity with database management, report writing, and batch uploads between platforms
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Commitment to New Moms’ mission and values
Other Requirements
  • Access to reliable transportation or ability to navigate public transit between sites
Work Environment

Work environment may vary. Must be able to sit/stand for up to 8 hours, walk stairs, and lift up to 30–40 lbs (or perform with reasonable accommodation).
