Senior Associate, Tax Ignition – GenAI – KPMG US

Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Ignition product team to develop, test, and maintain new data, technology, ML, and GenAI solutions.
- Engage with the Ignition consulting team to support tax business teams and clients on initiatives requiring ETL, data analysis, reporting, visualization, technology development, and GenAI solutioning.
- Acquire data from disparate systems and formats (ERP, web, databases, Excel) and develop, enhance, and maintain data and ETL pipelines.
- Perform exploratory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical and current data, identify patterns, and communicate findings via visualization tools.
- Minimum two years recent experience in data manipulation, transformation, querying, and analysis using ETL tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, SQL, SSIS, Python, and R.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data analytics, MIS, business administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, etc.) and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
- Dashboarding experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View/Qlik Sense and other tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages (C#, Java) and big‑data or machine‑learning tools (Spark, Hive, Pig); statistical programming with R, Python, SAS.
- Strong multitasking, organization, time‑management, teamwork, client‑service commitment, and written & verbal communication skills.
