Position:Salesforce Platform Manager (Chicago/Hybrid)
The Salesforce Platform Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud (Non‑Profit Success Pack) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Ensuring optimal system performance, enhancements, user adoption, and alignment with business goals. This role bridges business needs with technical solutions, managing the platform’s configuration and integrations. The Salesforce Platform Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Information Services and is based in our Chicago headquarters.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Advanced Administrator.
- Three to seven years of Salesforce experience (administration, platform management, or similar).
- Experience with Salesforce NPSP and Marketing Cloud preferred.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data structure, automation tools (Flows), reporting, and security.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating with stakeholders; project management experience preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL).
- Background in managing outsourced teams or consulting partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee configuration of objects, fields, flows, validation rules, page layouts, automations, and integrations with third‑party systems.
- Lead or support Salesforce‑related projects, including enhancements, migrations, and integrations.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Monitor system performance, deploy Salesforce updates and ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Maintain documentation for system architecture and processes; ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Work with internal teams or external partners to ensure high‑quality configuration and code.
- Salesforce Administration.
- Strong written and oral communication.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical staff at all levels.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Quick learner with new software and applications.
- Superior organization and time management to meet deadlines.
- Attentive to detail while seeing the big picture.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with integration tools/APIs (Mule Soft, Talend, etc.).
- A passion for the mission of the organization.
