Senior LAN Engineer​/Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Senior LAN Engineer / Systems Administrator with over six years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration, Active Directory, Cisco and Fortinet networking, VMware, Hyper-V, and SAN administration
. This role involves leading infrastructure projects, ensuring network and server reliability, and mentoring junior team members while contributing to strategic IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead administration and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
• Manage and optimize Active Directory
  , including policies, permissions, and identity management.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco and Fortinet network devices and firewalls.
• Administer and maintain virtualization platforms (
  VMware, Hyper-V) for enterprise environments.
• Oversee Storage Area Network (SAN) administration and optimization.
• Perform system monitoring, patching, updates, and performance tuning.
• Provide escalation support for complex infrastructure and networking issues.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Lead or participate in infrastructure modernization and cloud migration projects

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in Windows Server Administration

• Advanced Linux Server Administration skills.
• Proficiency with Active Directory administration

• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet network devices
  .
• Proficiency with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
• Strong background in SAN administration and optimization

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize server and network performance.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and scripting (Power Shell, Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, and enterprise security best practices

• Experience with disaster recovery planning and high-availability architecture

• Ability to design and document infrastructure roadmaps

• Proven experience leading teams, mentoring staff, and engaging with business stakeholders.
