Responsibilities- Develop, implement, test and maintain strategies and plans to ensure continuity after a disruption.
- Assess risks and thresholds, determine scope of Disaster Recovery (DR) requirements and govern the process to keep all in‑scope applications, infrastructure and cloud solutions current and tested.
- Work with business leaders to define their role during a disaster and foster a culture of preparedness.
- Partner with Enterprise Risk Management and Incident Response teams.
- Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive DR program including policies, procedures and plans.
- Conduct Business Impact Analyses to identify critical functions and assess potential impacts; establish RTO and RPO requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across business and technology.
- Coordinate DR efforts with third‑party Managed Service Providers where needed.
- Oversee documentation, maintenance and testing of continuity, technical and application readiness plans.
- Communicate maturity of the overall DR program and Kraft Heinz readiness to respond.
- Educate staff on emergency procedures, recovery plans and best practices for business continuity.
- Translate complex topics into actionable initiatives.
- Ensure backup and recovery strategies align with defined RTO/RPOs.
- Lead and coordinate disaster‑recovery testing, simulations and fail‑over exercises across systems and platforms.
- 7+ years of relevant IT experience, including DR, business continuity, infrastructure, systems or IT security.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems and disaster recovery techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- 3+ years of DR or equivalent experience.
- Experience documenting and testing DR plans in a large enterprise.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross‑functional teams and build relationships.
- Ability to influence peers, third parties and executives.
- Ability to quickly understand abstract technical concepts.
- Formal report writing experience.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, GCP and hybrid IT environments.
- Strong documentation, project management and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of real‑world DR outages and governance of recovery procedures.
Hybrid role – 3 days per week in office. Toronto, ON or Chicago, IL.
CompensationBase Salary: $118,400 – $148,000 (annually). Eligible for a performance‑based bonus.
