Key Job Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Support intrusion detection and prevention efforts across the enterprise.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, analysis, prioritization, and remediation tracking.
- Assist with identity and access governance processes.
- Provide daily support for security tools, SIEM monitoring, and log analysis.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of security technologies and projects.
- Conduct security risk assessments and support compliance efforts (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Gather, analyze, and report security metrics for leadership and operational teams.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation for processes, technologies, and incident activity.
- Research emerging threats, tools, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within security operations.
- Collaborate closely with Security Operations, Security Compliance, IT teams, external vendors, and customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISSP Associate, CISM, or CEH.
- 2-3 years of IT experience, with at least 1 year in a security-focused role.
- Hands‑on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and IAM solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to clearly document processes and communicate technical information effectively.
- High ethical standards and a strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to perform well in a fast‑paced, global environment.
- Self‑starter who is motivated, coachable, and eager to grow professionally.
- Team‑oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines.
Base pay is $75,000‑$95,000, with additional compensation based on experience and location.
