Job Summary

Cat Digital’s Platform Algorithms team is looking for a talented and motivated Lead Data Scientist that will help improve platform data by developing and delivering ML/AI models to address the most challenging data issues. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will apply machine learning and other analytics techniques on a very large set of diverse data from IoT connected assets, our integrated network of dealers and enterprise data.

What

You Will Do
  • Experience leading projects and teams to completion. Mentor and provide guidance to other team members.
  • Leading, exploring, developing, promoting, and implementing various projects focused Machine Learning.
  • Conducting research on data model optimization and algorithms to improve effectiveness and accuracy on data analyses.
  • Interacting and collaborating with the Analytics management team, with the team members and colleagues outside the organization, including outside Cat Digital.
  • Reporting and presenting team results.
What You Will Have
  • Machine Learning:
    Extensive knowledge of principles, technologies and algorithms of machine learning; ability to develop, implement and deliver related systems, products and services.
  • Analytical Thinking:
    Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Business Statistics:
    Extensive knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.
Considerations For Top Candidates
  • Advanced degree in a discipline such as data science, data analytics, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or other related degree
  • Extensive experience in predictive analytics. Building and implementing machine learning models
  • Advance experience programming in Python and SQL
  • Experience with AWS products such as Sagemake, RDS, EC2, S3

This position will have the option to be based out of our Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL offices.
