SQL Database Administrator

Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Provides input to team leads on database matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as the technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of database technology solutions. Assists with the design, analysis, development, and implementation of database infrastructure solutions for complex business projects and/or work requests. Troubleshoots and resolves complex database compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations.

May be involved in creating design specifications, developing utility programs, and resolving escalated database compatibility problems. Technologies span cloud (preferably AWS RDS), MS SQL (a must), Power Shell, MySQL, Aurora Postgres.

Works with the lead technical consultant to design, engineer, and develop information technology solutions. Provides input in designing, analyzing, developing, and implementing database infrastructure solutions for complex business projects and/or work requests. Troubleshoots and resolves complex database compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations. May assist in creating design specifications, developing utility programs, and resolving escalated database compatibility problems.

Must be able to take direction from more senior advisors. Technologies span desktop, server, network data, database, cloud deployments, and services infrastructure. Focuses on providing inputs and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

• Partner with enterprise Infrastructure team to drive infrastructure decisions for the Cornerstone program, including database, cloud, and environment strategies (including automation of Infrastructure as code).
• Work collaboratively with other Technology team members to support databases approach, maintenance, data and integrations infrastructure, etc.
• Installation of tools to support core application.
• Troubleshoot issues in non-production environments.
• Assist with planning and coordinate third‑party application software upgrades in all environments.
• Work on custom automation solutions to support the team.

• 3+ years of experience in a database environment managing infrastructure components.
• 1+ years of experience working on complex, enterprise‑level platforms or solutions.
• 1+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS) and automation of Infrastructure using MS SQL, AWS RDS, MySQL, Aurora Postgres or similar technologies.
• Ability to develop a working knowledge of the technical domain to effectively support technical risks that may arise.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent complex infrastructure troubleshooting and risk assessment skills.

• Previous support of QNXT, Facets or similar COTS application.
• 4 years of experience in same or similar field.
• Medicare/Medicaid knowledge.
