Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint & Power BI Specialist to join our IT team. This position will full-time, remote, and is a contract position.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online and On-Prem environments
  • Implement Hybrid Cloud Architecture and integrate with Microsoft Azure
  • Customize SharePoint using SPFx, Power Automate, Power Apps, and workflows
  • Create and manage document libraries, lists, metadata, and web parts
  • Set up user access, permissions, and governance policies
  • Perform migrations using tools such as Share Gate or Microsoft Migration Tool
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance
  • Provide end-user support and training, including backup and recovery procedures
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Build and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations
  • Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint, Excel, APIs)
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and dataset security
  • Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance, including dataset refresh schedules and gateway configurations
  • Troubleshoot slow-performing reports and optimize queries for efficiency
  • Document data models, business logic, and report specifications for future reference
What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years as a SharePoint Administrator or Developer
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, SQL Server, Office 365, Power BI, and Power Shell
  • Familiarity with SharePoint tools (ULS Logs, workflows, forms)
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adhere to SDLC standards and work independently
  • Knowledge Lake experience
  • Basic knowledge of database tools and procedural languages SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL
  • Flexibility to support additional applications and reporting tools as needed
Physical Demands
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
