TheOpportunity
The Coordinator, Innovation & Strategic Design, supports the execution of strategic initiatives and innovation projects that enhance the firm’s legal service delivery and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Chief Innovation & Strategic Design Officer (CISDO) and other members of the Innovation & Strategic Design team, the Coordinator plays a key role in project coordination, internal communications, and knowledge‑sharing efforts across the firm.
This role blends project coordination with content and communications, including building high‑impact presentation decks, coordinating multi‑channel thought leadership, and serving as a cross‑departmental liaison to advance innovation initiatives.
On Any Given Day, You Will
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of innovation and strategic design projects.
- Assist in maintaining project timelines, tracking deliverables, and preparing status updates and reports.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and events, including scheduling, materials preparation, and follow‑up.
- Draft and format internal and external communications, presentations, and reports related to innovation initiatives.
- Design and build presentation decks for internal, client‑facing, and executive audiences; maintain templates and ensure visual and brand consistency.
- Coordinate the thought leadership pipeline, including editorial calendars; drafting, editing, and repurposing blog content; preparing podcast briefs; scheduling guests; and partnering with Marketing/Business Development to publish across channels.
- Ensure rigorous quality control across deliverables through proofreading, data validation, version management, and consistent messaging.
- Translate technical and innovation concepts into clear, concise narratives and executive summaries tailored to different audiences.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Legal Project Management, Practice Development, Business Development, IT, and Seyfarth Labs to support innovation efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between Innovation & Strategic Design and departments such as Marketing & Business Development, Seyfarth Labs, Lean Solutions, Technology Services Group and Practice Groups to align priorities, remove blockers, and drive execution.
- Assist in tracking and organizing submitted ideas for innovation, process improvement, and legal technology solutions.
- Support the development and distribution of marketing collateral, thought leadership content, and client‑facing materials.
- Maintain best practices documentation and assist in the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the planning and execution of webinars, training sessions, and other events related to innovation and strategic design.
- Experiment with and operationalize GenAI and emerging tools to accelerate content creation, research, and presentation design; document best practices and lessons learned.
- Perform other administrative and project‑related tasks as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2–4 years of experience in a professional services environment.
- Experience in law firms, consulting, or innovation‑focused roles preferred.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with tools like iManage, Smartsheet, GenAI, or project management platforms is a plus.
