IT Project Manager
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a IT Project Manager to join their team! This position is located in Chicago, Illinois.
Duties:
- Manage multiple IT, Infrastructure, and operation projects
- Take accountability for on-time and on-budget deliverables
- Collaborate with other project managers to ensure consistent application of project management disciplines and methodologies
- Coordinate project activities by leveraging team members across various enterprise areas, vendors, external agencies, and partners
- Document and actively manage project dependencies, issues, and risks through resolution
- Prepare and deliver regular progress updates, including risks and issues, to department leadership and sponsors
- Scope, estimate, and plan new IT, Infrastructure, and projects
- Track, manage, report, and forecast project labor hours and financials
- Oversee technology acquisitions by working with procurement and vendors to ensure purchase orders, deliveries, and invoicing align with the project schedule
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Proven success in managing multiple concurrent IT projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and PPM tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Reliable and punctual attendance is a critical requirement of the position
