Aon is hiring a Workday Configuration Engineer to support our Human Resources business processes. This virtual position from the US can include coming into a local office for initial training.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and other integration tools to support HR processes.
  • Configure Workday modules, including HCM, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation, based on business requirements and system standard processes.
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Workday, ensuring accuracy, usability, and data integrity for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, HRIT, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Workday.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday integrations, configurations, and data flows, providing timely support and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
  • Participate in Workday release management activities, including reviewing new features, testing updates, and implementing enhancements.
  • Document technical specifications, integration designs, and system configurations to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with offshore teams and external vendors to deliver global solutions and ensure consistent system performance.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and validation activities during Workday implementation or module rollouts.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience developing integrations and configurations in Workday HCM (5–6 years).
  • Experience working with teams in the US, the UK, Poland, Thailand, and India.
  • Workday certification in Integration, Studio, or Reporting, and knowledge of Agile/Scrum is a plus.
  • Background with Workday Extend is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise HR platforms and cloud technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining Workday integrations (EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect).
  • Experience configuring Workday modules and developing custom reports and calculated fields.
  • Solid understanding of Workday data model, business process framework, and security configuration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter, independent, team player, proactive.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical partners.
  • Proficiency in integration development, troubleshooting, and Workday reporting tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent years of industry experience may substitute.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position (U.S. applicants) is $100,000–$120,000 annually. Actual pay will vary based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
