IBM AS​/400 Infrastructure Administrator

Job Summary

Join our Technology & Information Architectures team as an Infrastructure Engineer specializing in IBM AS/400 (IBM i) administration. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, security, and peak performance of our core business systems, requiring expertise in system maintenance, monitoring, and problem resolution.

$40 – $45 per hour

8am to 5pm

Bachelors

• Perform IBM i administration
  , including system installs, PTF deployment, and HMC maintenance.
• Perform system firmware, software installation, configuration, and security requirements.
• Perform daily system monitoring
  , verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
• Review system logs, application logs, and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups.
• Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution, and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems.
• Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning requirements.
• Maintain 3rd party software applications and participate in Disaster Recovery testing
  .

5 years of hands-on experience in IBM i administration.

Proven expertise in HMC Maintenance and System/Firmware Upgrades.

Ability to work primarily In Office in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
