Dynatrace Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Type: Fulltime/Permanent Role 110k
-120k + Benefits
- 3–5 years’ experience in Incident Management or Operations support.
- Dynatrace Associate Certification preferred.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Dynatrace, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Good understanding of cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
- 3+ years of related experience with Dynatrace, python and programming skills.
- Strong understanding of application performance monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience in developing Dynatrace dashboards and setting up the alerts.
- Experience in migrating Dynatrace Managed to SaaS.
- Experience in recommending baseline monitoring thresholds, recommending performance monitoring KPI's.
- Dynatrace API Integration with other tools, Dockers, Kubernetes, Dev Ops tools like Ansible, Jenkins.
- Familiarities with Dev Ops practices, Agile methodologies and version control systems.
- Implement and improve observability practices aligned with technology strategy.
- Configure and optimize Dynatrace, Log Analytics, App Insights, and other monitoring tools.
- Proactively identify performance issues and drive RCA/resolution.
- Automate monitoring and operational tasks to reduce manual work.
- Responsible for implementing and configuring Dynatrace's Application Performance Monitoring solution across various environments.
- Follow established United & Program standards, able to set up dashboards, alerts and reports to monitor application performance.
- Troubleshoot application performance issues. This involves working with other teams to coordinate issue resolution.
- Analyze application performance data collected by Dynatrace and identify potential issues and areas of improvement.
- Develop solutions to solve business problems with minimal supervision.
- Root cause analysis and dashboard creation.
- Continuously supervise system performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
