Manual QA Lead

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Execute manual functional, UI, integration, and regression tests across web and/or mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover usability and edge‑case issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and QA review sessions within an Agile/Scrum team.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure issues are well understood and resolved promptly.
• Conduct smoke and sanity testing after deployments.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops).
• Assist in selecting tools and frameworks for test automation.
• Contribute to improving overall test coverage and reducing manual regression effort over time.
• Support the QA team in transitioning appropriate test cases from manual to automated tests

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Hands‑on experience with manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
• Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail, Zephyr).
• Basic experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git preferred).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with SQL for data validation.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing concepts is a plus.
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
