Position OverviewThe Salesforce Public Sector Solution Architect is an industry leader who will be responsible for solution development in support of the Salesforce practice under Enterprise Cloud Applications pillar engagements in collaboration with TEKsystems sales partners.
The Salesforce Public Sector Solution Architect will bring thought leadership, current industry know-how, and applied solutions to improve existing service capabilities, engagement and delivery challenges, and any research and development activities.
The Salesforce Public Sector Solution Architect directs and owns all technical aspects of Salesforce implementations and/or customizations, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, App Exchange products, and custom development for our Public Sector customers.
Required Leadership & Knowledge- Salesforce ecosystem within Public Sector and how Salesforce is being utilized; knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other functional areas of Salesforce
- Gov Cloud experience and other Salesforce offerings in Public Sector such as HR1 initiatives, LPI, and other offerings
- Advisory, roadmap consulting as well as delivery of services in the practice’s areas of expertise
- Prior hands‑on experience in Public Sector delivering Salesforce solutions for a minimum of 3 years is required
- Excellent MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office suite tools skills are required
- Prior hands‑on delivery experience – someone who has moved up the ranks in the career path
- Experience working with global delivery teams in distributed environments in North America and India
- Be the subject matter expert for Salesforce offerings and usage in Public Sector and be able to coordinate with sales and solution team to provide thought leadership to our Public Sector customers
- Coordinate with sales and solution team to develop appropriate Salesforce solutions for Public Sector customers based on their specific needs
- Coordinate with Salesforce partner alliance team and Salesforce AEs to ensure TEKsystems’ presented solution is in sync with Salesforce
- Support Salesforce practice initiatives for Public Sector and develop new offerings based on new legislation or specific Public Sector focus (such as HR1 solutions)
- Works with other practice leaders to identify competency areas to focus on within Public Sector as well as owns a competency area as a subject matter expert and builds POVs, competency development plan, and coaches others
- Designs solutions and manages teams developing, testing, and supporting custom solutions according to our Public Sector customer needs
- Shares workload and performs hands‑on development activities such as configuration, Apex code development, LWC component development, etc.
- Provides technical leadership, setting best practices (e.g., integration and application development, deployment, testing, iterative refinement)
- Defines, communicates, and manages a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code
- Strong understanding of Salesforce product suite and its ecosystem in Public Sector
- 5 or more years of experience designing and implementing solutions in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and general Salesforce platform applications
