Business Analyst III – Chicago, Illinois – Contract – Job
Job OverviewThe Senior Business Analyst III will be a key member of a focused product team, performing business analysis tasks to support the development of customer‑facing digital products. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills to collaborate effectively with business users, technology teams, and leadership in an Agile environment. The position involves creating detailed user stories, managing story backlogs, and contributing to the overall product strategy.
Responsibilities- Create scope/high‑level requirements and detailed user stories for development and QA teams.
- Manage story backlogs to ensure readiness for upcoming sprints.
- Facilitate Agile rituals such as inception, iteration, story kickoffs, and estimation sessions.
- Develop clear, concise, and actionable acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with UX analysts to ensure prototypes align with story intent.
- Work with development and QA teams to define story boundaries.
- Analyze data to ensure features align with product goals and deliver business value.
- Contribute to strategy and scope definition, working with stakeholders to understand objectives.
- Identify opportunities for improvement across product, process, and team.
- Mentor other Business Analysts to build organizational skills.
- 3‑4 years of eCommerce experience required.
- 1‑2 years of Agile/Scrum experience required.
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision‑making skills.
- Basic understanding of Agile concepts such as user stories, sprints, and acceptance criteria.
- User Story Creation and UX
Collaboration:
Experience writing detailed user stories and working closely with UX teams. - Strategic Vision and Prioritization:
Ability to align product development with business goals and prioritize effectively. - Strong Organizational
Skills:
Capability to manage multiple moving parts and track updates in a complex project environment. - Proactive Communication:
Clear and timely communication with stakeholders, anticipating needs and issues. - Critical Thinking and Attention to Detail.
- Business Analysis:
Skills in analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor research. - Data Analysis and Decision Making:
Ability to interpret data for informed product decisions and post‑launch measurement plans. - Project Management Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma.

Hours:
9‑5, must be online during collaboration hours. - Work Location:
Willis Tower. - Hybrid
Schedule:
Tuesday through Thursday.
- Conducted via video.
- One interview anticipated.
