IT Operations Lead

Base Pay Range: $90,000 – $100,000 per year

Location: Downtown Chicago

Work Environment: Onsite (4 days)

This role leads and oversees IT projects and operations within a fully SaaS‑based environment, ensuring seamless implementation, vendor management, and support of Microsoft 365, Azure, and security tools.

• Lead and assist with IT projects involving implementations of systems, solutions, and new technologies.
• Work with and manage a third‑party MSP to ensure tasks are completed quickly, efficiently, and correctly.
• Oversee and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including Intune, Entra , and 365 B2B.
• Support and manage Palo Alto Prisma across the environment, ensuring alignment with security practices.
• Manage and maintain IT support operations, including Autotask, Jira Cloud, Datto, and Verkada.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage escalation tickets.
• Update, maintain, and support the organization’s SaaS environment.
• Manage and audit security tools—including Sentinel One, Duo, and Avanan—for proper security and compliance.
• Perform software updates, account setups, and planned maintenance activities.
• Work with vendors and service providers on various issues.
• Assist with networking issues related to routing, switching, and firewalls.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Five (5) or more years of experience in IT administration, network engineering, systems engineering, or related positions.
• Ample experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments.
• Strong background with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Entra, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Experience with vendor management, MSP oversight, and IT service contracts.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM).
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and protocols.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using Power Shell (preferred).
• Preferred certifications: ITIL, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Sec+, CompTIA Net+, CCNA, MCAA.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to assist all employees with any IT issues.
