Requirements Must have:
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in mobile applications or accessibility-related projects)
- Strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly with Jira and Confluence
- Demonstrated capability to conduct user research and usability testing
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, documentation, and analytical abilities
- Experience collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Understanding of accessibility standards and assistive technologies (preferred)
- Knowledge of ADA compliance (preferred)
- Familiarity with API integrations and mobile app development (preferred)
- Background in UX, HCI, or accessibility testing (preferred)
- CBAP or comparable certification is a plus (preferred)
- Gather, analyze, and document both business and functional requirements – Create and oversee user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria within Jira – Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather stakeholder requirements – Conduct research on usability and assess user needs – Develop functional specifications for features such as audio/haptic feedback, multi-language support, and GPS services – Document requirements for APIs and system integration – Maintain traceability of requirements from initial objectives through to implementation – Assist with backlog prioritization and Agile sprint planning – Take part in user testing sessions and collect feedback – Produce process flows, wireframes, and other documentation in Confluence – Serve as a communication bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
We are offering a hybrid opportunity for a Business Analyst in Downtown Chicago, on a 4.5-month contract basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting an accessibility-focused mobile application, converting stakeholder requirements into actionable specifications. You’ll work closely with technical teams, product partners, and end users, especially within the visually impaired community, to ensure that our solutions are usable, compliant, and aligned with both project goals and funding requirements.
We offer competitive pay ranging from $60.00 to $63.00 per hour along with benefits including dental, health, and vision insurance.
